Holiday Candlelight Walk

December 16th, 2017

Holiday Candlelight Walk

Come join us for this family friendly event at the Garden on Saturday, December 16th from 5pm until 7pm.

Humboldt Botanical Garden Lights Up for Holiday Walk Winter on the Northcoast is for hardy folk who love the redwoods and the cool rain. Humboldt Botanical Garden invites you to celebrate the warmth of the holiday season with your friends and family at the annual Holiday Candlelight Walk on Saturday, December 16, 5 – 7 p.m., at the twinkling Garden Greenhouse.

The Greenhouse will get its sparkling makeover after Thanksgiving, becoming a festive space complete with holiday decorations and lights. In the Garden, hundreds of luminaries will light up walkways and decorated Garden statues, leading visitors to warm bonfires, a wonderland created with the help of board members, staff and amazing volunteers. A “Visit With Santa” highlights the popular children’s area, which also hosts holiday crafts and activities. New this year is a Hogwarts Express model railroad. Complimentary cookies and apple cider will be available. Outside the greenhouse everyone can keep warm and roast marshmallows at two large bonfires. Mulled wine, beer and hot chocolate are available for purchase, and all proceeds support the Garden. To add to the fun, the evening includes entertainment by the local children’s group, “All Star Theater Arts,” as well as carolers to serenade Garden visitors.

This inspiring Candlelight Walk offers a rare opportunity to experience the Garden in the evening and has become a holiday tradition for Garden members and supporters. Join us for this joyous fundraiser, we will party rain or shine! Bundle up and wear good shoes. Parking is free. We are sorry, no dogs are allowed during this event. Gates open at 5:00.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $25.00 for a family up to five people with additional family children being only $5.00. Tickets may also be purchased, at the Garden, or by calling the Garden office at 707-499-3133.
