The Low Notes

The Low Notes are a jazz quartet comprised of veteran Humboldt musicians Doug Mortenson on guitar, Dave Ryan on piano/keyboards, Douglas Kamprath on drums and Rick DeVol on bass. Their diverse backgrounds in music come together to create an original sound that encompasses jazz, pop and rock, and make The Low Notes’ versions of jazz standards and originals uniquely their own.
The Garden opens at 10 a.m., the music begins at 1 o’clock. These concerts are held the first and third Sunday through August and are a wonderful opportunity to experience the Garden in a new way. Bring your family, a picnic lunch and lounge on the lawn and take in the sounds of local bands before touring the Garden or the Butterfly House. This activity is FREE to HBG members, General admission for non-members. Children under 6 and active military are free. Beer, wine and other refreshment will be available for purchase.
