Join Zeal Stefanoff on Saturday, April 28th as he presents on composting. Zeal consults various community gardens and is one of two Master Gardeners at Big Lagoon School. He has given lectures and demos in worm farming, composting and gardening throughout Humboldt county. During this presentation he will demonstrate how to find worm cocoons in compost and teach young and old alike a compost song! All ages welcome.

About our Speaker

Zeal Stefanoff is a graduate of Texas State University  and a certified Master Gardener/ Master Food Preserver through University California/Davis Cooperative Extension Service. He has been a active gardener and composter since 1985.  He is presently taking a Organic Gardening class at Humboldt State University. He also writes a garden planting article for the Department of Health and Human Services called "You Can Dig It!" and is a former volunteer for the Humboldt County Native Plants Nursey. He enjoys working with school age children as "they are our future".
